Abstract
In this article, we present the simulation study of TeraHertz (THz) transmission through an array of rectangular apertures in subwavelength thick metal plate. We demonstrate that the resonance quality of the transmission through this perforated metal plate can be as high as Q~440 in Tera-Hertz (THz) frequency regime. Hence, this structure can be employed for very high resolution sensing. Furthermore, we present the electric field profiles, in order to understand the resonance mechanism of the structure.
