The sensor of the present disclosure comprises a substrate, an ammonia gas sensing component coated on the substrate; and; at least one pair of electrodes deposited on the coating of ammonia gas sensing component at a predetermined spaced apart distance from each other. The sensor of the present disclosure is efficient, cost-effective, operable at room temperature, portable, and also capable of generating an electronic signal for automatic passing/transferring to any peripheral device, system, or application for any subsequent operation based on the detected value.
