Abstract:
A one-dimensional diffusion-based damage-healing (EPDH) model for elasto-plastic self-healing materials, based on Lemaitre’s ductile damage, is developed. The novelty of proposed model is focused on capturing the diffusion-based healing occurring in the plastically deformable materials having self-healing agent capsules. The EPDH model is implemented by return mapping algorithm, and the response is obtained for different loading conditions.
