This Special Issue of the IEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society (J-EDS) features a selection of outstanding papers presented at the 2024 IEEE Electron Devices Technology and Manufacturing (EDTM) Conference. Sponsored by the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), IEEE EDTM serves as a premier international forum for discussions across a broad spectrum of topics in semiconductor devices and manufacturing technologies. EDTM is held annually and rotates among major semiconductor manufacturing hubs in Asia. EDTM 2024 was successfully conducted in Bengaluru, India, from March 3–6, 2024, under the theme “Strengthening Globalization in Semiconductors.” The four-day event included a one-day program of tutorials and short courses, followed by a three-day technical program featuring oral and poster sessions with strong participation from both academia and industry. |
