dc.description.abstract In the present analysis, the behavior of Steel Fibrous Concrete Beams (SFCBs) is numerically modelled using ABAQUS. The concrete grade considered in the study is M25. Five different volumetric percentages of fibers, that is, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.5%, are considered in SFCBs for different crack lengths 10 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm. Three-point bending beams of dimensions 500 mm × 100 mm × 100 mm are modelled, and the load application was by displacement control for the numerical study. From the current analysis, it is concluded that as the crack length increases, the energy absorption and load-carrying capacity of beam decreases, and the presence of fibers shows significant improvement in flexural performance and energy absorption of SFCBs.
