Abstract
The present disclosure is a wearable gait rehabilitation system (100) , and configured for individualized therapy using real-time gait and muscle activity analysis. The system (100) includes a pair of instrumented shoes (102) with force sensors embedded in insoles (102a) to detect gait events and transmit data wirelessly via a shoe data acquisition unit (104). A surface electromyogram data acquisition unit (104) captures muscle activity through non-invasive surface electrodes (104a) and transmits data via a wired transmission module (104b). A central processor module (106) integrates gait and muscle data, extracting gait-related and muscle-related indices while computing asymmetry. An AI-enabled strategy generator (106b) analyzes asymmetry values, determines stimulation needs, and generates personalized strategies. A stimulation switching module (106c) dynamically activates electrical stimulation, while a multi-channel electrical stimulator (108) delivers individualized electrical pulses to targeted muscles. The system (100) provides real-time recommendation of muscle(s) need assistance in the form of electrical stimulation .
