The present disclosure relates to an adsorbent and a process of the recovery of Rare Earth Elements (REEs) from e-waste using the adsorbent. The process of the present disclosure is simple, cost-effective, and highly efficient, enabling the selective recovery of REEs. The process achieves up to 99% recovery of neodymium (Nd) and yttrium (Y) after digestion, demonstrating its high efficiency and applicability for REEs extraction.
