The present disclosure relates to cis-5-substituted alkyl diarylprolinol silyl ether organocatalysts and a process of its preparation. The process of preparation of cis-5-substituted alkyl diarylprolinol silyl ether organocatalysts is simple, employs easily available reactants and is commercially scalable. Cis-5-substituted alkyl diarylprolinol silyl ether organocatalysts of the present disclosure are used in asymmetric synthesis of ?-aminobutyric acid (GABA) derivatives with high enantioselectivity which are important intermediates in the preparation of bioactives such as anxiety drug, spasticity drug, anticonvulsant drug and nootropic drug.
