The present disclosure relates to the field of story-creation and story-telling platform for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) coupled with assessment of affective state in a collaborative task environment. The user interface (104) display a plurality of virtual objects and facilitate a user to select at least one virtual object. The story creator module (106) receives the selected virtual objects and analyses the hierarchical arcs information for each of the selected virtual objects based on the second lookup table, and generate snippets. The story telling module (108) knit the generated snippets based on the snippet knitting rules, convert the knitted snippets into audio files and integrate the audio files with at least one virtual character to narrate the knitted story.
