The present disclosure relates to a quinoline based compounds and a process for preparing the same. The Quinoline based compounds have pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics properties which make them potential inhibitors of the PIKK family of kinases, especially ATM, ATR, and DNA-PKcs, which play a vital role in the survival of cancer cells. These quinoline based compounds have a potential to kill the cancer cells preferentially by exploiting the concept of synthetic lethality.
