The smart gesture tracking system (100) comprises a motion tracker module (102), a controller (104), an analysing module (118) and an alerting module (120). The motion tracker module (102) is configured to track the motion of a hand of a user and generate a corresponding sensor data. The controller (104) is configured to cooperate with the motion tracker module (106) to receive and filter the sensor data, and is further configured to form a packet of the sensor data at pre-determined regular intervals of time. The analysing module (118) is communicatively coupled to the controller (104) to receive the packets of sensor data. The alerting module (120) is configured to receive the activating signal and generate at least one of a visual, sound and vibratory alert upon receiving the activating signal.
