Abstract
The present disclosure envisages a gaze-sensitive screening battery system for assessing cognitive impairment. The gaze-sensitive screening battery system (1000) comprises Task-Presentation and Computing Unit (TPCU) (100), Eye Tracking Unit (ETU) (200), Gaze-database Unit (GDU) (102), Gaze Index Extractor Unit (GIU) (103), and Gaze-based Classifier Unit (GCU) (104). The GDU (102) to store gaze information received from ETU (200). The GIU (103) to retrieve the gaze information from GDU (102) and compute Gaze-based indices. The GCU (104) to perform two-stage hierarchical unsupervised clustering on the input based on Gaze-based indices, wherein: in a first stage of clustering, the GCU (104) classifies the user in one of a healthy impaired group or a cognitively impaired group based on the computed Gaze-based indices; in a second stage of clustering, the GCU (104) further classifies the user in one of levels of cognitive impairment, wherein said levels including Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Dementia.
